Soo... someone somewhere thought that legendaries with stupidly long chains of quests and required mats was a good idea...
Perhaps they forgot the failure in naxx 40, perhaps they felt that drops were unreliable...
Who knows, but a well deserved flogging can be awarded to the cretin who decided that requiring a guild to not only nominate a single person to dedicate their life for the next 4 months to the unenvieable task of being present at every boss kill for the following 16 weeks, but also sacrifice their hard-earned time farming endless badges from groups of randomly assorted nubs provided by the LFG system was a good idea.
So far the time spent discussing such a "simple" subject is clocking near the time spent working in an average day in this country, so I'm somewhat hopefuly my income this week will be boosted by the obvious donation from Blizzard for my time. However, we can rest assured that a decision is still yet to be reached.. taking into account the next 4 months attendence, current preparedness, ability to provide badges for themselves and general merit is perhaps not as easy as one might assume, especially when regardless you can be sure the following weeks will be filled with the deep resentment of a player denied his right.
My bitterness is unjustified for now at least... out of the blue the guild returns to what I remember it always being, capable of the same feats as far more accomplished and progressed guilds when people truly want to play their best. This commodity is as always effervescent, capable of coming and going in seconds on the whimsy of raid morale and mood.. destroyed so easily by a few simple words and yet utterly essential for the progress of any guild. Even stranger perhaps is the manner of it's appearance, generated by things so simple and so random. The same mistake repeated twice results in two utterly disparate conclusions, a feeling of resentment that permeates the raid and draws silence for the following hours can be so easily a response of hilarity and enjoyment.. mockery of the situation we find ourselves in.
The same can be said for the ins and outs of the daily guild events.. it seems to be the time of the recruit, as for months I've not been this hounded by applicants of every level imaginable. We have been lucky enough to come to the attention of some very respectable new players, thanks in part to the long standing nature of the guild I feel.. and yet amongst the same group of applicants you find people no longer capable of speaking in a language recognisable to any country on this earth; I will never cease to be amazed by the huge variety WoW has somehow attracted, and I will never cease to hope also that we remain in control of what seems to be increasingly a game ruled by those same people.
In all honesty, the week has been good as they go.. some fun times and a lot of hard work finally seeing some closure, definately a time to feel proud of our accomplishments.
I can't help but feel a little pissed off with that fucking legendary still.. are Blizzard somehow unaware of the existance of DKP still?!
